For this mechatronics class competition we designed and built a custom robot from scratch including all the hardware, electronics, and code. The robot we built self-located in an area using IR light sensors, collected ping pong balls, and shot them into 1' high targets in the corners of the arena. Our unique strategy used two omniwheels that let us slide along a wall into a corner in order to orient our robot.
